Science in Seminaries
Many people look to their religious leaders for guidance on issues relating to science and technology, even though clergy and lay members may have had little exposure to science in their educational experience. This innovative program will integrate science into the core curriculum of CTU. Dawn Nothwehr, OSF and Anne McGowan are leading efforts on campus which have resulted in a grant funded by the John Templeton Foundation. The grant funds the participation of seminaries and schools of theology in the Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion (DoSER), a program of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), in consultation with the Association of Theological Schools (ATS).
